Look a little closer

Little things to discover.

  1. Trees by the tides

Mangroves are trees and shrubs that grow along warm coasts where the tides rise and fall.

  2. Shelter among the roots

Mangrove roots give fish and other small animals places to find food and shelter.

  3. Roots help the shore

Mangrove roots slow the water and trap sediment. Mangrove forests help reduce erosion along the coast.
